Introducing...

I am so proud to introduce the reason why I have been so excited and sick :) Our little baby is 10 weeks old in the picture, about 11 now. Our due date is June 2, Bobby and I couldn't be any happier! We had this ultrasound taken because I had been having a few cramps, which turns out to be because I have a tilted uterus. Nothing to worry about though, it should straighten out as the baby gets bigger. The reason the pictures is so clear (to be this early) is because they did an internal ultrasound. It was awesome, we got to see and hear the baby, I loved hearing the heartbeat. Even my husband admits it was pretty awesome! Things have been absolutely crazy, I have been so exhausted, but I hope all that is soon to be over since I am moving into the next stage of pregnancy. Please pray with us that I am not one of those women who are sick the entire time!!! Everything is just wonderful, the Church work is going fine, school is going fine, the girls (dogs) are doing fine, our family's are doing great. In fact, I am having a baby shower for my sister Julianna next weekend, she is due Jan. 5th. That is kind of fun, the idea of having two little babies so close together; the cousins will be 5 months apart!

I Am Officially a 5th Grade Teacher!

Well it has been a crazy first 12 days of school. I started the year as a 4th grade language teacher and everything was going great, then we had more Kindergartners register and I was told that I had to go to K, it was an emotional day but knowing me by the next day I was ready to be a K teacher. Then I was all but tackled by a 5th grade teacher who wanted me to take her class and let her go back to K (she had taught it for 9 years and just wanted a change). However, she just didn't like it. So we worked things out and shge went to K and I went to 5th grade language. So, my first 7 days were in 4th grade and were awesome, then I had the next 5 days in 5th grade and they were awesome! In fact, I even did learning stations (centers) last Weds. and Thurs. I would love to post some pics but unfortunately I do not yet have my new classroom decorated yet, but hopefully soon!

A Pounding!

The church here at Southaven gave us a pounding! If you were like me you had no idea what this actually meant. If you don't know it means that every one brings you at least a pound of something, kind of like a welcome here thing. I think this would work great for newly marrieds, housewarmings, etc. Anyway, we had a great turn out and were once again amazed by the generosity of the Southaven Church of Christ. It took us 2 car loads to get all of our stuff home and well unfortunately we don't have a big enough pantry for all of this stuff so there it still sits on our kitchen table, and there it will probably stay until we use all of it or make a new pantry! :)

My Little Jordan

We got to spend some time with out little nephew Jordan, as well as his parents and new little sister. Chris came down and spoke to our adults for VBS and we went to the Children's Museum of Memphis before mom, dad, and CJ went back to McMinnville. Jordan and I had a swim party, went to the zoo again, and ate doughnuts for breakfast before I had to take him back to his real home. Bobby and I just adore little Jordan, we think of him and love him as our own and it kills us not getting to see him on a daily basis. My biggest "regret" about leaving McMinnville is not getting to be there for him and not getting to know his little sister. We really miss Chris and Danyelle as well, Bobby and I both have discussed how different it has been without them right there. But, I guess that is just a part of moving and growing - blah, blah, blah :) Here are some pics of our little nephew, neice, and friends.

Summer Church Activities

Summertime is really busy at the Southaven Church of Christ. We just got back from camp a couple of weeks ago and are busy planning for our upcoming VBS. Camp was awesome, it was our first camp with the youth here and they amazed us. We had many from Southaven who won spiritual leader and camper awards and even more who led devotionals, singing , etc. including a few of our younger campers (9 year olds) who did it for the very first time. We are so proud of all our youth and their parents who continually support them and strive to be good Christian role models. The picture above is everyone at camp representing Southaven. The theme this year for camp was in remembrance of Shane Ruiz, a member of our youth group who died on a mission trip with Freed Hardeman, eaxctly 3 months before this picture was taken. He was an amazing person and his family continues to amaze me! Bobby and I only wish that we could have known him better. The red and yellow shirts are our summer shirts that we had made up in memory of Shane. The front says No Fear and the back reads: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1. It is our hope and prayer that we as well as all of our friends can live in this manner.

Our second honeymoon...

Bobby and I just returned from our second honeymoon. For those of you who do not know, for our first honeymoon we spent 7 days at Disney World in FL. This time we spent 8 days on Lake Erie in Ohio and went to Cedar Point. You may be asking yourself, why in the world do you go on a second honeymoon after being married for 5 1/2 years? The answer is simple, why not? We were actually suppose to be in Jamaica for my sister's wedding but that fell through so instead of going into major debt we decided to do something we could afford and stick with our love of theme parks. What all did we do? Well we pretty much did it all from driving all day, renting golf carts, mopeds, and kyacks, island hopped, had a 3 hour couple's spa experience, went to the beach, etc. I even have the honor of saying I rode EVERY rollercoaster at Cedar Point! We also got ot see some of our extended church family and meet our new neice, CJ Perry.
