Our 1st Full Week w/ Aylin @ Kindergarten

My week was great, after all it was Shark Week!
This week started out great with Aylin being excited for school but at some point on Tuesday she started crying, so much that her teacher had to get another teacher (a friend of ours) to come talk to her, and so it began.  She cried Weds morning so much that the teacher called me and after I had talked to some other mommas about this behavior we bribed her: no crying at school and no card pulling (their behavior system) for the rest of the week and we would get her the Elsa doll she so badly wanted.  She pulled it together and had a good rest of the day and came home with a smiley face.  On Thursday she cried before school, but no tears at school and came home with a smiley face and on Friday she only whined before school, no tears and another smiley face!  The whole thing took me by complete surprise, all she would say was that she missed her mommy and toys and wanted to go home.  If you know Aylin, this is SOOO not like her.  She would rather be ANYWHERE other than home most of the time.  We think she is just way too tired, she is just not use to being up so early and even with the earlier bed time she is just not getting enough sleep.  We are hoping for a tear free week next week, but my mother reminds me that she had to drag my sister to school up till the 3rd grade! LOL
Friday night we met my parents for dinner and went to the mall to ride the carousel and go to the Disney store and then went to Target and got a cheaper Elsa :)  Also Friday after school, a local photographer took a group shot of the Hernando Kindergarten class at a local park :) No where near the entire Class of 2027 showed up, b/c I think I heard there were 13 Kindergarten classes each with at least 25 kids, but here is a shot of the group I got with my cell phone:
This was such a great idea!  I plan on getting one of her Kindergarten Bible class too :)
The boys had a great week.  Besides watching Shark Week, on Tuesday we met some friends at the Knowledge Tree Story-time, we always have a good time there.

Aylin Jewel's 1st Day in Kindergarten

Getting ready to go, whoa! was it early!?  Daddy made his baby girl her favorite breakfast (chocolate gravy) and we got everyone up and out of the house by 7:10!  We are not normally moving around until 8 and don't normally eat breakfast before 8:30 or 9 - LOL!  This getting up so early is going to get old really fast.  But, I LOVE our outfit from Southern Tots and thanks Amber Wallis for monogramming it for us!
Arriving at school, I love the lil' tiger :)

First Official End of Summer Break (at least for Aylin)

My baby girl goes to Kindergarten tomorrow, I just can't wrap my mind around that and have been trying to make these last few days extra fun for her :) I bought one of those "The Night Before Kindergarten" books to read with her tonight before bed and her 1st day outfit is all ready :)
We spent the weekend in Heber Springs with Bobby's parents for Sarah's (niece) wedding.  It was really a quick trip and those are hard on us, but it did really make me want to go camping again.
The wedding took place on top of one of those mtns. between Conway and Little Rock (I think) at a beautiful little cabin that seemed to be designed just for weddings  :)  Weston and I watched the wedding from the balcony off of the main cabin because he decided he had to nurse the ENTIRE time.
Hilton gets car sick.  We did not know this and were not prepared for this :( So on the winding, up and down,  mtn. roads he threw up his tropical smoothie dinner all over himself and my car :(  So while he was originally super cute and stylish in his blue polo (matched his baby brother and sister for picture purposes) and yellow/blue plaid shorts, he ended up at the wedding in this too small, white, library, "I Love to Read" t-shirt and yellow/blue plaid shorts sporting a throw up stain! :(  It was TERRIBLE and embarrassing for me and his daddy - LOL
On Tuesday, we had one last family swim day :)
Today, we met the cousins at the sprinkler park in Collierville and we finally got Hilton to run through the sprinklers and enjoy himself :)  We also ran into Aylin's preschool teacher, which she thought was pretty cool :)

July Recap in Pics Part 2

July always ends with the POWER lectures at the Southaven church of Christ.  This year we heard wonderful lessons about Abraham.  This is a very tiresome week, but well worth it.  Aylin loves the doughnuts every morning, all the time she gets to spend with her friends, and following around the big girls (so thankful they are such good examples).  Hilton loves all the food and getting to help his daddy prepare the drinks for lunch, but not the sitting still and being quiet part - lol.  Weston got loved on everyday by extra people and seemed to like it ok ;) He started smiling some this week!
Last night of lectures, late night trip to Sonic! :)
