Hilton's Latest Trip to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital Neurological Center

A while back Hilton started displaying a number of odd symptoms that we ended up going to get another check up done on him at the neurologist after the pediatrician could find nothing wrong in his blood and other general tests. Everything still came back normal, so we don't have any official diagnosis other than to just keep watching him for changes. The moment we pulled out of the hospital parking lot he had febrile seizure # 8! The neurologist did tell us that because he has had so many febrile seizures he is more likely to develop seizure disorders later on in life like epilepsy, and he may or may not grow out of these febrile seizures. :(

Above is a list of all the symptoms he had, they have almost all gone away or at least don't show themselves as much anymore.

This whole week ended up being a rough one; both boys had a week long fever virus and Aylin ended up with strep throat right after that, then we had the stomach virus run through the family :(

Snow Days

We ended up with quite a few snow days especially for this area. Aylin and I loved getting out there and playing, Hilton however would only stay out 5-10 mins before he was done. We played at least once everyday and drank lots of hot cocoa! I am so glad that I remembered to buy a sled while we were in Heber Springs, AR over Thanksgiving.

Church Events & Outings

Aylin has been involved with a girls' training class for some time now. They memorize songs to lead and Bible verses/lessons to give and then one day we have all the women at Southaven go to a room and the girls lead everyone in their songs and deliver their lessons. In January, we actually decided to make it a bit more fancy and hosted a Ladies Tea for everyone.

The youth group always hosts a Valentine's Day Banquet for our We Care group. This is such a wonderful event and is enjoyed by the youth, their parents, and our "young at heart" :)

We are still going to Story time on Tuesdays with some friends from our congregation:

Some girls went to see the new Cinderella movie and Frozen cartoon!

and we have taken 2 trips to the zoo!

we love the Memphis zoo and I am so glad we finally renewed our membership!

Our 2nd little blessing, Hilton Isaiah, was born 3 weeks early via an emergency c-section also because of preeclampsia. He was already 8lbs8oz and spent 9 days in the NICU because of a spontaneous pneumothorax (popped right lung); he also had a heart murmur and had to have a blood transfusion his very 1st night. Poor guy suffers from febrile seizures, and also took physical therapy for about a year b/c of delayed gross motor skills. We are so thankful to have this little man blessing our lives.

Puppy is 2

Our 3rd blessing, Weston Julian, was born 5 weeks early via another C-section because of preeclampsia. This pregnancy was a rough one: at 24 weeks I started having severe stomach pains and at 28 weeks had an emergency umbilical hernia surgery, and have been on bed rest ever since because of preeclampsia. At 32 weeks I started having daily headaches and frequent migraines (at least 2 a week). At 33 weeks our ultrasound technician discovered my amniotic fluid was decreasing and he was not showing much growth, so now we started twice a week visits and at least 1 ultrasound each week to keep a closer eye on him. We are incredibly thankful that our last little blessing arrived safely and weighed 5lbs 13oz and did not have to go to the NICU.
